Inserting Newsletter Functions

The structure of a newsletter is very important in that it should contain elements from the target users' name to having an unsubscribe link being available. The ekmResponse facility contains several of these elements to be inserted into the body of your newsletter at the click of a button.
When creating a new campaign or editing an existing campaign, the body of the newsletter is created in the window as shown below:

You will also notice the toolbar within the editable area containing many buttons available to you that will allow you to create the content body of the newsletter:

A lot of the buttons will be very familiar and allow you to carry out various formatting techniques, but one button in particular: will allow you to do a little more. This button is called the "Insert predefined template content" button and allows you to enter the following newsletter elements/tags:

Greeting - For example "Dear" followed by the users' name.
Firstname - Target user's firstname.
Surname - Target user's surname.
Email Address - Target user's email address.
View In Browser - A link that allows the user to view the newsletter in a web browser window.
Unsubscribe Link - The link that allows the user to unsubscribe from receiving the newsletter.

When it is clicked on, a popup window will appear with a drop down menu of these pre-defined elements:

Wherever your cursor is within the content body area, the element you select from the menu will appear there. Once the element is selected, simply click the button.
